Meandering Cameras is an ongoing art project by Alvin Liang that started in October of 2008 in Cambridge, MA. He is distributing disposable film cameras to friends and random passing strangers with the simple instruction to pass the camera on until it runs out of film and must make its way home.
I was asked to design the logo/banner for the project's website. Taking a cue from Alvin's naming of the cameras as a means of cataloging their individual journeys, I extended the anthropomorphization into the logo design where each camera began to develop its own distinct personality and characteristics. There were two options, and the chosen option can be viewed on the website.
I gave my camera "Caleb" a cover to keep him happily clothed and to distinguish him from all others. Contact Alvin to see how you can participate!
